PlateUp! is all about running your own restaurant. You decide what food you will be cooking, such as pizzas or steaks, and then attempt to serve wave after wave of impatient customers. This is a rogue-like game where you try to survive as many days as possible. The entire restaurant is closed down if you fail to serve just one customer. Luckily, plenty of blueprints will help you survive for longer.
When trying to reach the final day, the blueprints you buy can make or break your run. The ones available to you are randomized each day. It might be tempting just to buy any blueprint, but sometimes it is best to hold off, save your money, and wait for the best ones to become available. Here is a selection of blueprints that will help your restaurant reach success.
10/10 Research Desk
Upgrade Chain:
-
Research Desk
upgrades to
Blueprint Desk
,
Discount Desk
, or
Copying Desk
. Every time you upgrade the desk, it will rotate between those three options.
What sets PlateUp! apart from other fantastic cooking games is your ability to improve your kitchen constantly. The best way to do this is with the research desk. It is a vital blueprint to purchase as soon as possible to ensure you’ll keep the restaurant open.
This desk costs 40 coins to purchase. You place it next to your blueprint cabinet. During the day, you can use the Research Desk to upgrade the blueprint stored in the cabinet once. This is the best way to get some of the rarer blueprints on this list.
9/10 Portioner
The Portioner costs 60 coins and is not a part of an upgrade chain. It will automatically take a portion of a dish placed beside it. For example, it will cut a slice of pizza. You then just need to plate the slice, and it is ready to deliver to your customer. It is a simple task, but it saves you so much time during a busy day.
Almost all the meals in this cooking game can benefit from having a Portioner in play. It will speed up the cooking process for main meals such as breakfast, but will also be helpful for common starters and sides such as soup and mashed potatoes. The Portioner will make you never want to manually divide your meals again.
8/10 Copying Desk
Upgrade Chain:
-
Research Desk
upgrades to
Blueprint Desk
,
Discount Desk
, or
Copying Desk
. Every time you upgrade the desk, it will rotate between those three options.
The Copying Desk is expensive, costing 120 coins, but more than makes up for that initial purchase. When placed next to your Blueprint Cabinet, you can interact with it to get a second copy of the blueprint stored inside. It only takes around five seconds, so you can easily use it before preparing your food for the day.
The Copying Desk is always worth using. It is excellent for ensuring you have plenty of other valuable blueprints, such as conveyor belts, decorative items, or upgraded hobs. It is also helpful to duplicate blueprints you do not need, as it will give you more options when you decide to reroll your selection.
7/10 Coffee Table
When there is a long line waiting outside the restaurant, PlateUp! can become a very stressful experience. The Coffee Table helps to negate this stress by drawing out how much patience your customers have. Instead of waiting outside for a dining table to be free, they will instead stay at the Coffee Table, resetting their patience timer.
The weather outside can drastically affect the patience of those waiting to be seated, so a Coffee Table is vital on rainy days. These tables cost 40 coins and are worth purchasing as often as possible.
6/10 Conveyor Mixer
Upgrade Chain:
-
Mixer
upgrades to
Rapid Mixer
,
Heated Mixer
, or
Conveyor Mixer
. Every time you research the upgraded mixer blueprint, it will rotate between those three options.
The Conveyor Mixer is a wonderful choice for those looking to automate the cooking process as much as possible. It will automatically chop or knead the ingredients placed upon it and then push the final product onto a counter.
This upgraded mixer costs 120 coins. It simultaneously acts like a mixer and combiner, saving space on your production line for other items. The key to success with PlateUp! is saving time wherever you can. The Conveyor Mixer streamlines the process for you, allowing you to focus on other tasks in the restaurant.
5/10 Frozen Preperartion Station
Upgrade Chain:
-
Preparation Station
upgrades to
Frozen Preparation Station
.
The Frozen Preparation Station allows you to keep your delicious food for the next day, ready to be served frozen to the customers. Don’t worry. They don’t mind. This station is a better choice than the Freezer Blueprint as it will store four copies of a meal rather than just one. The station costs 60 coins to purchase.
This blueprint is a game-changer for runs where you have lots of tedious sides to make, such as onion rings. You will always have some spare portions ready to go from the very start of the day. This allows you more time to cook other meals in the morning.
4/10 Safety Hob
Upgrade Chain:
-
Hob
upgrades to
Safety Hob
or
Danger Hob
.
At the cost of 60 coins, the Safety Hob is the best choice of cooking appliance in the game. The Danger Hob is a lot faster but will burn food super quickly. The Microwave is also quick, but one misclick and you can very easily set it on fire. The Safety Hob guarantees that nothing will burn while you are focused on preparing other ingredients.
This Hob is slower than other hobs, but you can negate this with the Gas Override Blueprint. It is the ideal choice for when you are automating the cooking process, as no matter how much of a backlog you have of orders, nothing will burn.
3/10 Dishwasher
Upgrade Chain:
-
Sink
upgrades to
power sink
,
soaking sink,
wash basin
, or
dishwasher
. Every time you research the upgraded sink blueprint, it will rotate between those four options.
A crucial part of this hectic cooking game is keeping on top of the dirty dishes. There are plenty of choices regarding what sink to use in your restaurant, but the Dishwasher is the most efficient. It costs 120 coins to purchase and will automatically wash up to four dishes at once.
The only downside is that it does take a little longer to wash the dishes inside of it. So, it is a good idea to have a spare Power Sink nearby to use while you wait. Despite this slight hindrance, being able to put on a wash and carry on with your other tasks is invaluable.
2/10 Robot Buffer
Upgrade Chain:
-
Floor Buffer
upgrades to
Rob
ot Buffer
.
The Robot Buffer is the most expensive blueprint on this list but is worth saving up 250 coins for. You’ll no longer have to yell at your friends to clean up spillages. The robot will handle that for you. You place it in the room you wish to clean, and it will automatically go around washing and polishing the floor.
Although costing the same as the Robot Mop, it is the better choice due to its polishing ability. A polished floor will increase your walking speed, allowing you to zoom around your kitchen quickly. Dirty floors are often the easiest to ignore, despite how often they will make you lose the game, so having the cleaning process automated is fantastic.
1/10 Smart Grabber
Upgrade Chain:
-
Conveyor
upgrades to
Grabber
. -
Grabber
upgrades to
Smart Grabber
or
Grabber–Rotating.
When you research the upgraded grabber blueprint, it will alternate between those two options.
The more you manage your kitchen, the easier it is to handle the rush of customers. There is no better way to do this than with the Smart Grabber. You’ll want as many of these as possible if you want to automate your kitchen fully. The smart grabber will set you back only 60 coins.
The Smart Grabber will take items you specify and push them onto another appliance. It has so many uses in the kitchen. You can have it take only clean dishes out of the Dishwasher or cooked meals off of a hob. The best way to make it into overtime is to streamline the cooking process, and Smart Grabbers are the best way to achieve this.
